What we do
In schools
Academic/school services
Over the past years Perspective has regularly delivered a number of the following courses or initiatives in local secondary schools in the Kettering Borough. The list below is by no means exhaustive and we can tailor-make sessions and courses to your requirements – just contact us and we'll see what we can do! See the life skills and extra curricula activities pages for more...
Assemblies
Issue-based assemblies can be delivered on subjects of particular relevance or significance at any time in the school calendar.
Exam Management Course/Lesson
This is predominately aimed at young people who have a fear of, or struggle with the whole exam process. Over a 6-week period the young people are helped to engage with their concerns and encouraged to develop coping strategies. Alternatively, a more concise session can be run with large groups of people giving them a set of tips that will aid their engagement with exams, improve their study techniques and help them cope with the whole exam process.
ExploRE
This is a 12-week programme giving an overview of the Christian faith, giving opportunities to discuss and hear the views of others, but also stating the foundational beliefs of Christians. ExploRE fits seamlessly into the National Curriculum for teaching RE at Key Stage 3.
PSHE Lessons
Alcohol, Sex, Drugs, Relationships, and Parents: Sessions can be run throughout year groups on any of these particular subjects. Material is tailored for each age group.
Revision Residentials
On a regular basis we have facilitated four-day Revision Residentials over the Easter break to prepare GCSE students for upcoming exams. We have also run short residentials for new Year 7s to help them with the transition into secondary school.
