What we do

In churches

Perspective Trust is a non-denominational organisation (at present our office is based at Praise Community Church, to whom we are very grateful!) and we would love to work with more churches
across the town.

We'd be happy to help in any way we can with the Youth Work of the churches in the Kettering Borough.

That could include:

  • running particular sessions for your youth group
  • giving talks at your youth meeting or weekend away
  • offering advice and support to your youth leaders (who do an amazing job).

If you wanted to, you could even employ your very own youth worker through us! If you are interested in finding out more about any of those options, then please contact Matt Harris on (07867) 531 099 or email office@kpt.org.uk.

Perspective Trust Youth Workers

At present Perspective Youth Workers run the youth groups at Christ the King Church:

Boomerang

Boomerang is for young people in Years 7 & 8 and meets Friday night between 7pm and 8.30pm, normally at the Church. Club nights involve table tennis, pool, play station, Nintendo, games, chill out room, table football and tuck. There are also regular trips to the bowling alley, driving range, ice skating and laser zone.

'Sunday Morning Boomerang' normally meets during the church service, and includes looking from a faith perspective at issues that young people face today.

For more information please click here.

Liquid

Liquid is aimed at young people in Years 9 & 10. The group meet every other Friday night between 8.30pm and 10.00pm, normally at the Church. On a club night there are similar activities to Boomerang (see above) and there are also regular trips out to various places that include the bowling alley, driving range, ice skating and laser zone.

Every other Sunday night Liquid regularly meets from 8pm-9.30pm at a leader's house nearby to the church. This is a really informal and enjoyable time to hang out and discuss God and how He relates to the things that go on in the world including the everyday stuff that happens in our lives.

On the other Sunday night, when the Liquid group does not meet, the young people are welcome to come to Junction 7 (see below).

Every year there are residentials: one in October to Letton Hall, and another during the summer holidays to Soul Survivor in Shepton Mallet.

Fuel

Fuel is for Year 11s and up and meets every other Friday night between 8.30pm and 10.00pm, normally at the Church. Club nights and trips are similar to Liquid and Boomerang (see above).

Every other Tuesday night Fuel meets at the Church from 4.30pm-6pm. This night aims to fuel young people in their Christian lives and develop them as emerging leaders of the Church. The great thing about this group is that dinner is included! Each Fuel session includes a time of worship, followed by dinner, a talk and small group work with the emphasis being on putting faith into practice.

Fuel is involved in the trips to Letton Hall and Soul Survivor. If you want any more information about Fuel, then please click here.

Junction 7

Junction 7 is for anyone at secondary school in Years 9 and above, and meets at Keystone Escape Youth Centre on Rockingham Rd. The whole night runs from 7-9.30pm although it is an evening of two halves with young people able to decide whether they attend one or both sessions.

The first half is a great social time, with music, café, computer games, sports, pool and loads of opportunities to just chill out with mates. The second half is a time to worship God, reflect on Him, and oneself in order to help people live lives that reflect their beliefs.
