Bishop Stopford School
"[Perspective Trust] has worked at Bishop Stopford School in a number of different contexts, taking assemblies, helping with communion services, encouraging the Christian Union and working in PSHEE lessons. The work done in specifically Christian contexts has been very effective within a very ecumenical framework in which students of all Christian denominations, other faith groups and those who profess no faith at all are engaged and challenged.
"Perhaps of more interest is the way in which the Perspective Trust has worked in personal, social, health and economic education (PSHEE) lessons. These focus on a particular issue (e.g. safety on the Internet or choices relating to sex and relationships) and are carefully designed to engage the young people at their point of need. They are never 'preachy' but give honest advice and enable students to make better informed choices for the future. However, the team members make it clear that they are coming from a firm faith perspective and that the Gospel has something relevant to say about the issues being discussed.
"It may be that the young people never attend church and have a very negative view of what it is all about. To meet Christians who show empathy for young people and have something useful to say about life helps to dispel the 'thou shalt not' stereotype. It opens doors to the possibilities of faith by modelling Christ's compassion for all that God has made and is a valuable contribution to the mission of the church by giving service to young people.
"I am very grateful for the work of Perspective Trust and pleased to be able to commend their work without reservation."

Southfield School for Girls
We have been working with the KPT team for several years now and we value the work that they do tremendously. The work ranges from exam/revision skills with students on the C/D borderline, through PSHE lessons on parent/teenage relationships to one-to-one work on anger-management. The students always remark on the value of the courses, the approachability and kindness of the staff.
As Head of KS4 I am so grateful that we have this service available to us; it is very difficult to obtain any kind of support for students and I therefore value the input from KPT very highly. Southfield has mainly been staffed by Matt this year and his sensitivity, adaptability and professionalism make him an asset to our school and its ethos.
